Reunion Reprise

Only the Class of ’71 could have made this happen. On Friday afternoon, the 23rd, BD (a/k/a Brian Dowling) and Frank Champi will meet again. They will join us to watch the highly acclaimed movie “29-29” and then offer comments and answer our questions.
Another bonus: We will see a special director’s cut, featuring additional interviews.
Did this game really happen? Or did we just imagine it? Were the drugs that good in those days?
Our classmates were instrumental in this pigskin miracle. Pete Varney was the last person to touch the ball that day, making the catch that made history. And who recovered the onside kick that enabled Frank Champi to lead the Crimson into the end zone? Billy Kelly of Reading and Quincy House. Picture him at the bottom of that pile hanging onto that ball for dear life. Then there’s Bruce Freeman, the end who scored the first of the two “Miracle Minute” TD’s.
Don’t miss this showdown.

Call for Classmate Creative Works!
The Reunion Committee is creating a short video display of recent creative works by classmates. If you have photographs, paintings, prints, sculptures, or other forms of art you'd like to see included, we hope you'll consider submitting images to us. We'd also like to include book covers of recent books classmates have written, program covers for music performed or plays presented. We hope you will participate whether you plan to attend or not. Show your stuff! Here's what to do: -- Email up to six .JPG images of works you'd like to see included. The limit is six submissions per classmate. -- Submit the images as attachments (i.e., not pictures embedded in the body of the text). -- Send them to: steve.coit@gmail.com with the title: "H-R '71 Fortieth Creative Works" -- Images must be of sufficient resolution to show on a video projector, probably about 500 KB or more in size. -- Images must not be so big as to cause email transmission time problems, so probably no bigger than about 5 MB per image. -- We'd like to receive all submissions by September 7 -- not much time left!
Share Your Old Photos …
Do you remember:
- Partying all night?
- Long hair and beards?
- Film cameras?
- KLH record players?
- Parietals, and learning what the word meant?
Help us all remember, so please dig out your college photos, run them through a scanner, and send them to the webmaster@hr71.org.
If you do not have a scanner, there are lots of stores (Staples, Kinko's, CVS) that will scan photos for a reasonable fee.

To upload a photo, press the "Upload" button at the top of the page.
We could just have a single undifferentiated store of photos, or we could try some methods of organization by "album." I suggest people create personal albums, using their names, to hold their submissions. We could also have albums by Reunion event. I'll try to create those over the next day or two.
In any event, I'd really like a few of you who might want to share photos to give the site a try and see how it works for you.
Let us all see what you find!
